Bridges are about connection. They connect one side of a valley, river bed or even a chasm to the other. Often bridges go over a stream or river, train tracks, a road or path. Bridges are cool and made of so many materials. Some are just basic and functional. Many are elaborate, creative and beautiful.
By definition, a bridge is a structure built to span a physical obstacle without blocking the way underneath. It is constructed to providing passage over the obstacle, usually something difficult or impossible to cross without a bridge.
We talk about building bridges between people too. We will need to rebuild bridges between people after the last few years. We have just passed the two year anniversary of the pronouncement of the Covid pandemic. During those times we have seen family, friends, churches, companies, communities and countries divided over the many issues around the restrictions put in place by the various levels of government.
As we leave the pandemic restrictions behind, we will need to build new bridges or rebuild old broken bridges with friends, family, co-workers and the world at large.

Have you burned any bridges in the past couple years? Now, today is the time to repair those relationships. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
